Surendra has its inception since 1972 as a manufacturer & supplier to india's largest heavy electrical equipment manufacturer M/s Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Bhopal.

The foundation was laid by Shri Surendra Prasad Shrivastava, an Ex BHEL entrepreneur who was having a vast experience and knowledge in coils and insulation field. During very initial days company was confined to activity of conversion of composite materials to electrical insulation parts by way of machining process in name of Surendra Engineering works.

In last 10 years Surendra has developed its own composite materials of international standards making self dependence by way of backward integration. We have complete in-house manufacturing facilities for production of composite materials and a CNC machine shop for producing machined insulation details for transformers , large motors , switchgears etc as per customer design , drawings and specifications. Surendra Composites Pvt Ltd is producing various composite material with base materials like Wood, Glass Fabrics, Cotton Fabrics, Kraft paper, Paper pulp ( Cellulose), Bamboo Mats, Jute Fibers, Carbon Fibers and many natural & Synthetic fibers or fiber rich materials. These basic material are coated or impregnated or dipped or kiss coated with variety of formulated resin matrix , dried in a contnuous oven / dryer and hot pressed resulting in a different product with high or very high electrical and mechanical strength in comparison to base materials.
